Alkozai LLC was built on a straightforward idea. When someone is filing an immigration application, sitting in a hospital room, or signing a contract, the language between them and the person across the table has to be exact. We provide that precision in Pashto, Dari, Urdu, and English.

How we work, and why it produces a better outcome
Who we serve
We work with immigration attorneys and law firms, applicants and their families, hospitals and healthcare providers, government agencies, businesses, and private clients. Each of those settings carries its own vocabulary and its own consequences for getting a word wrong. We staff accordingly.
How assignments are staffed
Before an assignment is accepted we ask what the appointment is for, who will be in the room, and which region the speaker is from. The interpreter is then matched to the subject and the dialect, not just the language. You receive the confirmed details in writing before the assignment begins.
Why cultural context changes the outcome
A word rendered literally can be accurate and still mislead. Politeness forms, indirect answers, and family terms all carry weight that a word for word rendering loses. Our interpreters convey what was meant, flag ambiguity rather than smoothing it over, and let the professional in the room decide what to do with it.
Languages and dialects
We match the interpreter to the dialect, not just the language
Pashto varies significantly by region. A speaker from Kandahar and a speaker from Nangarhar use different pronunciations and, in places, different vocabulary for the same everyday object. An interpreter who is fluent but unfamiliar with the speaker’s region will keep up and still miss detail.
Dari and Farsi are mutually intelligible but they are not identical. Vocabulary, formal register, and administrative terminology differ, and the differences show up exactly where they matter most, in official documents and legal proceedings.
Urdu carries its own registers, from conversational speech to the formal vocabulary used in legal and administrative documents. We ask which one the assignment calls for before we staff it.
So we ask where the speaker is from before we assign anyone. It is a short question at the start that prevents a long problem later.
